Ibstock Country Fair Celebrating 30 Years
Set in the heart of the National Forest
About Us
The Country Fair was held for the first time in the village of Ibstock in August 1996 and was organised as the Main fundraising event for the 1st Ibstock Scout Group. Now 30 years on, we are still looking to raise funds for our local Scout Group, but have also over this period raised many thousands of pounds for many other local charities along the way, L.O.R.O.S, County Air Ambulance, Rainbows Children’s Hospice, Cancer Research UK and RBL being just a few that have benefited over the years.
The Country Fair has now established itself as a major date in the local events calendar, although we are not as big as some of the other shows in the area. We continue to receive positive feedback from both the public and the participants. It is the aim to provide a quality, value for money event, which promotes all aspects of the countryside.
The Country Fair is organised and run by a small group of volunteers, who give of their time and skills totally voluntary, but who have worked tirelessly over the years to make the Ibstock Country Fair the Event that we have today. Our Event is the one that people want to attend, for they like the informality, the relaxed, friendly atmosphere, and the rich blend of country sports, pursuits, and lifestyles.
The show gradually grew year after year. So in 2006, we moved to Cattows Farm, Heather in Leicestershire. This enabled us to add to our already full list of attractions.
After being at Heather for five years a decision in 2011 was made to move "back home" to Ibstock. Attendance figures still continue to increase, with a target of 10,000 visitors. So come along and see for yourself what a great value-for-money, and family day out we have to offer.
See you all there on Sunday 16th August 2026
