Ibstock Country Fair 2024
It’s that time of year again when we all focus our thoughts and efforts on yet another Country Fair.
This year we are looking to add, to our already impressive list of attractions making this year bigger and better than ever, bringing with it something to interest and entertain all the family. The Organisers are proud to present our 28th Country Fair on Sunday 18th August 2024 in the village of Ibstock.
Attractions at the Country Fair this year will be Falconry, Air rifles, Sheepdog, and Gundog demonstrations.
Add to these the ferret racing, Whippet-Lurcher Show and Racing, Exemption dog Show, trade and charity stalls, and Large Craft Marquee, along with children’s rides and entertainment that will keep the family amused for hours. Other attractions include displays by a Heavy Horse team, Poultry & Rare Breeds exhibition, all adding to the Country atmosphere.
The Heavy Horses will be on display during the day showing how versatile Man, Horse, and their machines can be, and why not browse around the various Vintage & Military vehicles, Tractors, and Stationery engines that will be on display, along with the fine display of working Showman Steam Engines, and the wonderful display of Mini’s, VW’s and classic cars that will be on display, or just marvel at the various displays on offer by the different groups and organizations. If you still have any energy left, bring along your dog and have a go in the Fun Dog Show, open to anyone, with entries taken on the day.
This year we welcome back to the Country Fair Ibstock Brick Brass Band who will be entertaining the crowds around the refreshment area during the afternoon.
Refreshments will be available throughout the day from various food outlets and the beer tent will ensure that you’ll keep your cool when the heat is on. Entertainment this year during the afternoon in the beer tent will be from Ibstocks very own Sam Hinds. We have put together a full day’s entertainment that will provide value for money, add to this a bit of sunshine and we hope to attract record crowds which in turn will help all the charities that are involved.
Plenty of Free Car Parking.
Gates open at 10.30 am for the Lurcher racing. Main entertainment commences at 11am.
